Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has made a bold statement targeting the BJP-led central government. He expressed doubts about the survival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government post-2026, predicting that such a scenario would have a significant impact on Maharashtra’s political landscape.

Doubts Over Modi Government’s Future
Speaking to the media, Raut said, “I have serious doubts about whether the Modi government will survive beyond 2026. I believe that Prime Minister Modi will not be able to complete his term. If the central government becomes unstable, Maharashtra will also feel the effects.”
Criticism of Leaders Leaving the Party
Amid speculation about internal rifts, Raut took a dig at leaders who have recently left the party. He said, “Those who are leaving the party are doing so out of fear of being targeted by investigative agencies. I’ve spoken to Rajan Salvi, who is distressed due to his electoral loss.”
‘True Shiv Sainiks Do Not Fear Defeat’
Raut emphasized that Shiv Sena (UBT) is a party of fearless individuals. “Victory and defeat are part of political life. Balasaheb Thackeray taught us that a true Shiv Sainik is not afraid of defeat. We are working to build a party of fearless leaders. Once the central government is gone, this fear-driven politics will end,” he stated.

Impact on Maharashtra Politics
Raut underscored that instability at the center would inevitably affect Maharashtra’s politics. “If there’s a change at the center, it will significantly impact the state’s governance and political equations,” he remarked.
Signals for the Future
Raut’s statements have stirred political circles in Maharashtra and beyond. While the BJP’s response to his assertions remains awaited, it is evident that Shiv Sena (UBT) is gearing up for upcoming electoral battles, aligning with opposition parties to challenge the central government.
